The Hans Johnsen Company, Wilson Bicycle Sales and Downeast Bicycle Specialists are importing and distributing electronic bike trainers from BKOOL, a Spanish company.

Hans Johnsen, based in Texas, owns Wilson and Downeast.

The BKOOL trainer and accompanying software allow riders to consolidate their indoor and outdoor training. Mobile apps allow riders to record outdoor course profiles and duplicate them later on the indoor trainer.

The trainer features electronically controlled resistance to match course profiles. The system includes an ANT+ dongle, ANT+ heart rate strap and ANT+ cadence sensor. Speed, cadence, heart rate and calculated power are all displayed onscreen during training sessions.

Moret than 200,000 uploaded GPS courses and 300-plus video courses are available on BKOOL's website. Workouts and courses can he shared with friends.

The trainer package retails for $649.99 and?includes the trainer, a riser block, a wheel skewer, an ANT+ dongle and an ANT+ cadence sensor.? Access to a basic online account and PC software is free. ?A premium account, which includes access to multiplayer races, video courses and training plans, costs $15 a month.? Trainers will be available to ship by the middle of November, although the three distributors are accepting preorders.
